The RFU Injured Players Foundation can be a beacon of hope for those who need it the most.

Four years ago Harry Langley was injured playing hooker for the University of Sussex when he was 20. Since then he has shifted his focus to wheelchair rugby and is now aiming to represent Team GB at the Paralympic Games.

Looking to expand their research programme, the IPF is keen to hear from interested researchers who can contribute to the Foundation's vision.

Lee Jones, who was injured playing for his club Silhillians RFC in 2016 aged 35, was unanimously voted to be his club’s chairman at the most recent AGM.

When The Duke of Cambridge and The Duke of Sussex played in the 2019 King Power Royal Charity Polo Day, it was to raise awareness and funds for charities they support including the RFU’s Injured Players Foundation.

21 volunteers took on the Vitality London 10,000 as part of the IPF Team, including injured player Dani Watts who completed the race in a wheelchair alongside members of her rugby club, family and friends.

The rugby 7s & netball tournament at Wimbledon RFC in support of the IPF and is now in to its 6th year and needs your help to encourage more teams to enter.

On 28th June Laura Wright will perform in a charity concert at the historic Bamburgh Castle in aid of the RFU Injured Players Foundation.

At the London Marathon a total of 25 IPF runners, raised over £65,000 between them to support catastrophically injured players and to fund vital injury prevention research.

On Wednesday 1st May a group of walkers set off from Twickenham Stadium on a 150 mile walk to Stourbridge Rugby Club. A week later a group of cyclists followed the same route and the two teams arrived at Stourbridge Rugby Club on Friday 10th May for a day of celebration.

The For Ruck Sake Rugby Legends Tour will host Q&A events with some of the world's greatest rugby players at venues around the country this Autumn, in support of the RFU Injured Players Foundation and a number of other charities.

A group of injured players supported by the IPF were recently given the opportunity to try scuba diving for the first time as part of the charity's Engage Programme.

During a recent England match at Twickenham a number of IPF clients who were at HQ to watch the match shared their stories with us.

Peter Bache is planning to walk from Twickenham Stadium to Stourbridge Rugby Club to raise vital funds and awareness for the RFU Injured Players Foundation and QE Hospital in Birmingham.
