Keen cyclists Calum, Mike, William, Owen, Harry and Graham complete their 1000 mile cycling challenge, raising a total of £2530 for the RFU Injured Players Foundation.

Having experienced the support the charity provides first hand after sustaining a life changing injury in 2018, Calum wanted to give back to the RFU IPF. ‘The support the charity gave me and my family took a huge weight off our shoulders during what was a stressful time.'  In charge of fundraising at his depot Calum and the team took to social media sharing their GoFund me page and talking to colleagues directly to get behind them. DPD also promised to match their fundraising total.

After rallying as much support as possible the team from DPD travelled from their hub in Sittingbourne setting out to cover as much distance of the county during their month-long challenge.  Travelling through towns such a Whistsable, Herne Bay, Margate, Ramsgate and Dover, the team were never far from a refreshing ice cream shop to help them cool down as they rode during some of the hottest days this year.

A huge congratulations to the team for completing their challenge and thank you to them, those who donated and DPD for choosing to support the RFU Injured Players Foundation!
