RFU Staff including Rugby Development Officers and Community Rugby Coaches did a fantastic job representing the RFU Injured Players Foundation at the 2016 SRG Beach 7’s Tournament at Peterborough RFC in early June.

The team finished Runners-Up in a competitive Social Cup Tournament and raised the profile and awareness of the IPF in the local community game. With the 6 Nations Trophy and Triple Crown also on show, the team worked hard to raise money for the charity on the day and help spectators learn more about the IPF’s important work supporting injured players and funding research to prevent future injuries.

The team will be supporting the IPF at another 7s tournament at Wellingborough RFC over the summer, as well as taking on the 3 Peaks Challenge in the summer, the Cyclothon endurance cycle at Brands Hatch, and they will also be hosting curry and quiz evenings at clubs in the region, all to support raising funds and awareness in the community game for the Injured Players Foundation.
